Inner Child Work

Unhealed wounds

Unmet needs. Chaos at home. Parental substance abuse.

Death – of a family member or pet.

Feeling “not good enough.” Longing for love from a Mom or Dad who was never around enough – and never knowing why.

Confusion confounds clarity. When these wounds remain unhealed, we carry them into adulthood.

Unexpected consequences

Do you feel ashamed about your body?

Will you do anything to hold onto a relationship?

Are you a people pleaser and have difficulty speaking up?

These tendencies may be linked to unresolved feelings around a painful event in early life. Inner Child Work aids the healing of the wounded child within, allowing your adult-Self to create and harness change for personal growth. It allows your true Self to emerge.

Reflection and repair

To repair childhood wounds, we use inner child work. Think back – do you remember what it was like growing up in your family? There were good times, some bad times, and you remember specific events like your birthday or Christmas.

Maybe you remember mom and dad fighting… someone close to you left or passed away.

In childhood, we yearn for stability. When family life is unstable, we do our best to create a peaceful environment. Your unique experiences create your childhood memories. What you felt then was valid, and it still is!

I’ll work with you to repair these wounds using guided meditation techniques to allow you to reconnect with your inner child.

Once you make a connection, I’ll lead you through the next steps of repair – the creation of a new and exciting bond between your child-Self and associated adult-Self.
